Basil's arms and legs become more beast like because she's close to losing a grip on the over flowing power. When she lets it run wild, she goes full on beast mode turning into a monster that breathes raw magic. But when she does gain control to a certain extent, she becomes more back to human. The only flaw is that her Beastly ears just grow shorter and her tail remains the same.
